Social Entrepreneurs Initiative

Social Entrepreneurs Initiative (SEI)

The Social Entrepreneurs Initiative supports young activists who wish to create sustainable change in their communities through innovation and entrepreneurship. These individuals combine profitable business with a sense of social responsibility that seeks to have a positive impact on their communities.

Through the initiative, we help them turn their visionary ideas into practice and ensure lasting beneficial impact on societies in areas such as social accountability, public health, human rights, environmental issues and education.

The IACC Series regularly calls for new young social entrepreneurs to join the initiative and apply with their ground-breaking ideas. The winners receive seed grants to help them get their projects off the ground. So far, we have supported a range of projects, such as one that created a web platform to fight fraud in the constructions sector; a tool that engages citizens in the process of national budget creation; an SMS report service to prevent corruption in schools and a service collecting citizen feedback on public services.
