I am Elsa Löwdin, a 29-year-old documentary filmmaker from Sweden, and now based in Berlin, Germany. I studied documentary film production at the Red Cross school in Stockholm, and have worked independently and as an in-house agency director/producer.Since summer 2022 I am a co-founder of Oblique Collective, a new agency creating videos for mission-driven organisations in the fields of human rights, sustainability and governance.

Natalie Sedletska – a leading Ukrainian journalist with a vast experience in investigations of the corruption schemes of the Ukrainian public officials. In summer 2014, she founded a resonance investigative TV programme called “Schemes. Corruption in details” with the support of the American Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, which since then is regularly broadcasted by the Ukrainian First TV channel (Ukrainian public broadcaster). In 2016, she received Oleksandr Kryvenko award, the most prestigious award in the Ukrainian journalism. She was also on the list of the young Ukrainian leaders “Top 30 Under 30” formed by the Ukrainian English language outlet «Kyiv Post». In 2015 Natalie went undercover as part of a British Channel 4 television documentary, “From Russia With Cash,” about corrupt deals fueling London’s property boom. Sports journalist, currently living on the border between the United States and Mexico, Manuel R. Medina has regrettably seen his country being devoured by a corrupt system that has not only eaten some of the government but also common citizens. He wants to help change that.
With a background as reporter for media outlets such as SanDiegoRed.com, El Mexicano, MedioTiempo.com, Uniradio; as press officer for the Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente football squad, basketball team Tijuana Zonkeys; and currently working for both FIFA and Concacaf, football’s biggest entities; Medina has been trained as a multiplatform journalist who doesn’t hesitate to use everything at his disposal to transmit an idea.
And because of this experience, he wants to increase his field of knowledge of social problems, like corruption, which is very common in Latin American countries.
He feels the responsibility, as a journalist, to show people that a corrupt system can be broken and citizens can break free from the injustices imposed by this structure; free of political bias because of his background on the sports field, Manuel R. Medina is hopeful the 15th International Anti-Corruption Conference 2012 will give him the skills needed to succeed on this very difficult task.
He is currently building a technology based media outlet called TJ Sports, where fans will be able to support their local sports heroes, with videos, articles and television shows, without the need to look around the Web for them. Plus this will allow him to get more social causes out to sports fanatics of his region, thanks to the exposure and reach sports have on his country.

Nicky Rehbock is a South African journalist and editor formerly based in Johannesburg. Having worked for the civil society organisation Corruption Watch, which was launched in South Africa at the beginning of 2012, Nicky is now Online Communications Officer at Transparency International. Elle is a well known journalist in Kyrgyzstan with large scale investigative reports and Assistant Professor at American University of Central Asia. She had recently revealed the secret ties between the Kyrgyz President’s office with unknown Czech company which was awarded with $1 billion governmental contract without public tenders to establish energy facilities in Kyrgyzstan.
Elle had rich history with local and regional problematic stories; in 2017, she investigated an airplane crash with smuggled cargo in Bishkek’s airport, which was the reason behind the lawsuit by President Almazbek Atambaev against her media org Azattyk Media (RFE/RL in KG) in order to influence the editorial line not to go further with the story. Later Elle published the story which revealed the interests of kyrgyz ex-Prime minister Sapar Isakov to the land privatisation near State Residency. This report became a reason of big resistance between journalist and Prime minister. With Isakov’s hand Finance police charged Alkanova up to 5 years in prison for allegedly disclosure of bank secrecy, but after 5 months General Prosecutor dropped all charges. The story has ended with Prime minister’s imprisonment.

I am a Palestinian journalist living in the Occupied Palestine. I graduated from the Faculty for Media at An-Najah National University in Nablus city in 2014, where I specialized in TV broadcasting. I have an excellent experience as a photojournalist. I’m a member of Activestills photographic collective (www.Activestills.org) since 2012. We are a group of activist photographers living in Palestine/Israel. We view ourselves as part of the struggle against all forms of oppression, racism, and violations of the basic right to freedom.
My work focuses on the daily life of the Palestinian population under the Israeli military occupation in the Palestinian villages and cities. My work has been shown in many local exhibitions and various international exhibitions across Europe, the US, and the Middle East.

A trained multimedia journalist, Grace Li was with Reuters for more than three years where she wrote about a wide range of topics from China’s social issues to Hong Kong’s biggest graft case. Grace currently works as an investigator who is engaged in projects to help reduce corruption in Asia.

Kait Bolongaro is a freelance reporter currently based in Europe. María Luz Nóchez is a Salvadoran based journalist specialized in Arts and culture, LGBTQ+ community and violence against women. Kwazi Dlamini is a young South African journalist working for Corruption Watch, a chapter of TI in South Africa. I write about corruption mostly in the public sector, I bring what happens in the dark to light and speak for those who cant speak for themselves. At the beginning of my journalism career I have always been fascinated by tackling socio-economic issues in the country and corruption became my main focus. Delfin Mocache Massoko is director of Diario Rombe, an online media platform based in Valencia, Spain. This activist was a key witness in the court hearing that convicted the Vice president of Equatorial Guinea in Paris in October 2017. Since its foundation, Diario Rombe has published the most important leaks on corruption in Equatorial Guinea, denouncing ongoing corruption that is not visible for most of the international community as well as the poverty that this create in his country. He has been consistently calling for asset recovery and repatriation. Delfin Mocache is considered one of the most relevant anti-corruption investigative journalist of his country.
Elena Loginova is a reporter for OCCRP. She was part of the cross border investigative teams for the Russian and Azerbaijani Laundromats and the Panama and Paradise Papers. She was also a co-author of “Killing Pavel” documentary.
Manasseh Azure Awuni is an award-winning investigative journalist and writer with the Multimedia Group in Ghana. In 2011, he was adjudged Ghana’s most promising young journalist and the overall best journalist in 2012. His work has uncovered high level corruption in government leading to jailing of some officials engaged in corruption, cancellation of government contracts and retrieval of millions of dollars. In 2018, Manasseh was adjudged the overall best journalist in the West African Media Excellence award after his investigative documentary won him the best reporter in the anti-corruption category of the West Africa Media Excellence Award. That investigation led to the cancellation of a shady $74 million contract awarded to a waste management company in Ghana. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from the Ghana Institute of Journalism and a master’s degree in Communication Studies from the University of Ghana.
Patrick Egwu is an award-winning freelance investigative journalist based in Johannesburg, South Africa where he is currently an Open Society Foundation fellow on Investigative Reporting at the University of the Witwatersrand.
