Data Protection Consent Form

1. Use of personal data

Purpose

We, Transparency International e. V. (TI), herewith request your consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(b) and (f), in conjunction with Article 7 GDPR, to process your personal data for:

administering and managing your application
assessing your eligibility and selecting participants and
communicating with you in relation to the application process and, where applicable, your participation in the initiative.

Your data will not be processed for purposes incompatible with those stated above.

Personal Data

Your personal data will be collected, processed, and used only in the context of the aforementioned purposes and in accordance with the German Federal Data Protection Act (“FDPA”) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).

Personal data to be processed:

Identity data: name, date of birth, nationality
Contact data: email address
Professional/Profile data: CV/resumé and professional background, work samples and related descriptions

We do not seek to collect special category personal data (as defined under Article 9 GDPR). If such data is included in your submitted materials, it will be processed only to the extent strictly necessary for assessing your application and on the basis of your explicit consent.

2. Deletion of my data

Your personal data will be removed from our servers with your revocation, otherwise once the personal data is no longer necessary in relation to the purpose for which it was originally collected/processed and in line with our privacy notice and retention periods.

3. Withdrawal of consent

You can revoke a given consent at any time. You can do so without any adverse consequences.

This consent shall enter into force upon signature by the individual.

4. Consent

I consent I was informed that the collection, processing, and use of my data takes place on a voluntary basis.

I hereby agree that TI for the above stated purpose will process my above-mentioned personal data.

This consent shall enter into force upon ticking the consent box to submit the young journalist application form.
