• What is the International Anti-Corruption Conference (IACC)?

  The International Anti-Corruption series is the world’s largest gathering of people who are united by a passion for promoting transparency, tackling corruption and progressing social justice. Over four decades it has brought together people from around the world to advance the fight against corruption, take stock of the impact of our collective work and show support for the countless victims of corruption around the world. This year, under the theme of ‘Igniting the Power of Integrity’, we are inviting people of integrity around the world to unite to stand up for our shared vision of a world free from corruption, at a time when the erosion of democratic values and the debasing of freedoms continue ruthlessly.  

  The conference agenda will address how corruption and a lack of accountability fuels many of the world’s most pressing challenges – from poor governance and democratic backsliding to climate crisis, inequalities and insecurity – and promote solutions and action. There will be an extensive and varied agenda including plenary discussions and workshops with brilliant speakers, opportunities to connect and collaborate in side events, as well as documentary screenings (Films4Transparency) and live music (Fair Play) inspired by social justice themes. 

• Where and when will the International Anti-Corruption Conference 2026 (#IACC2026) take place?

  The 22nd edition of the 2026 International Anti-Corruption Conference (#IACC2026) will take place from Tuesday, 1 December until Friday, 4 December 2026, in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.  The event venue is the Barceló Bávaro Convention Center, located just 20 km from Punta Cana International Airport. • Why choose the Dominican Republic?

  It’s the first time the conference will take place in the Caribbean, which provides a valuable opportunity to connect people in this politically dynamic region with global anti-corruption efforts. The Dominican Republic has taken important steps on its journey to reduce corruption since 2021, with actions to improve transparency, strengthen judicial independence and boost protection of independent media. As with all countries, there remains room for improvement.  

• Why has Punta Cana been chosen for the event? 

  Punta Cana meets the accessibility and infrastructure requirements for a large international event of this kind, with a well-connected airport, large conference facilities and plenty of accommodation options. We expect to host around 2,000 participants from over 140 countries.  
   

• Who attends the IACC?

  Anyone interested in fighting corruption and promoting transparency is welcome to register. We welcome participants from any background: from community activists and those working in civil society organisations, to policy experts and academics, as well as the business community, journalists, members of the judiciary, and decision-makers such as heads of state, ministers and policymakers. We especially encourage participation by young people, minority groups and others who are interested in developing their understanding of how to tackle corruption. We typically host around 2,000 people from around 140 countries. 

• Will it also be possible to participate in the conference online?  

  No, this is an in-person event only. However plenary sessions, fireside chats, workshop sessions and Masterclasses will be available to watch back after the event on our YouTube channel: @IACCseries

• Can I use the same email address to create multiple registrations?

  No. Each email address may only be used for one registration. The platform operates on a strict one-email-per-registrant basis in order to ensure account integrity, prevent duplicate registrations, and maintain accurate user identification. This structure is also necessary for security purposes and to support compliance with applicable data protection and privacy regulations, including proper management of user consent for communications and data processing.

• Can I contribute to the agenda? 

  We welcome suggestions for the conference agenda. Anyone who is registered to attend can suggest an idea for a workshop session or to be a speaker – there will be an official call out for submissions. You can also write to [email protected] with your ideas. All submissions will be reviewed by our team but unfortunately not every idea will make it onto the final agenda.  

• When is the full agenda ready?

  The program will not be published until the workshops have been reviewed and the agenda has been confirmed.

  The program is developed through a collaborative process, the final version will be confirmed once the workshops submitted before February 23 have been reviewed and the selected sessions integrated into the schedule. • How does the IACC ensure inclusivity and diversity – both among speakers and participants?

  The IACC is committed to inviting speakers from diverse countries and from a variety of fields – including civil society and community activists, policymakers, business leaders and experts. One of the essential purposes of the conference is to bring together such a variety of leaders to review what has worked and make joint commitments to tackle corruption.

  The Transparency International movement is a network of over 100 independent chapters and national contacts around the world. Through this network, invitations are shared globally to ensure anti-corruption champions from around the world are included in the agenda and among the participants. We also partner with civil society and business networks to spread the word about the conference.

  We value diversity and are committed to welcoming and providing a safe space to everyone to speak, move and meet. The venue is wheelchair-accessible and we are committed to providing ways for those with specific requirements to be able to participate.  

• What is the official language of the conference? Will there be translation services available during the conference? 

  All events will take place in the official conference languages of English and Spanish, and for the plenary sessions there will also be translation into the six UN languages (Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), English, French, Russian and Spanish). 
   

• I’m a journalist who would like to attend the conference. How should I apply?

  Media accreditation is open: https://iaccseries.org/iacc-2026/press-accreditation/. If you have any question please email [email protected]. Members of the press do not pay to attend the conference.   

• How do I apply for a Dominican Republic visa?

  IACC delegates are responsible for their visa application process. Click here for more information.

• What is the cancellation and refund policy?

  All registration cancellations must be received in writing via an email to [email protected]. Please also review the IACC 2026 Registration Policy by clicking here.

  Full refund: Notification must be provided in writing by, Monday, 31 October 2026 before midnight CEST, via an email to [email protected]. A full refund will be provided within 60 days; however, an administrative fee will be charged by Stripe. 

  All refunds will be processed within 2 months after the conclusion of the conference. All refunds will be issued back to the original payment form. 

  Any fees, charges, or processing costs imposed by the payment provider in connection with a refund request shall be borne in full by the participant requesting the refund.  

  Do note that exchange rates fluctuations may take occur and the IACC organisers cannot take responsibility for such changes.  

  All fees, charges, and processing costs applied by the payment provider are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances.  

  NOTE: Please remember that cancelling your conference registration does not automatically cancel your hotel and travel arrangements. Attendees are responsible for cancelling their own hotel and travel reservations.
