A specialist in technology and human rights, she has spent seven years exposing how platforms fuel discrimination, violence and disinformation. At Global Witness, she built and led a pioneering investigative team that uncovered gender discrimination in Meta’s ad algorithm, documented platforms’ failures to address incitement to genocide in Myanmar and Ethiopia, and revealed systemic weaknesses in tackling electoral misinformation worldwide. Her team also exposed TikTok’s algorithmic push toward far-right content in European elections and uncovered a bot network backing Azerbaijan’s COP presidency.
