Honduran lawyer with a Master’s Degree in Public Management and Political Action, and a Fulbright Scholar pursuing a Master’s in Global Affairs. At 25 years old, she has worked at the United Nations Office in Honduras, as well as at the Embassy of Honduras in Spain, and has participated in international programs such as the Ibero-American Young Leaders Program of Fundación Carolina, the UN Youth Peacebuilders Program, and the Program for Strengthening Public Service in Latin America of the Botín Foundation.
Gisselle is Co-Founder of Centuria, the first political and strategic communications consultancy in Honduras, where she leads the development of innovative political strategies for political and social actors, promoting democratic participation and contributing to the strengthening of national institutions. She was recently selected by Forbes as part of its 30 Under 30 list and is a TEDx speaker.
She served as Executive Director of El Milenio (2022 – 2025), a youth-led organization that promotes civic engagement and works to combat political polarization in Honduras. During her mandate, she led initiatives such as EMIL IA, an artificial intelligence bot that compiles professional profiles of electoral candidates, and “Tu Voto, Tu Poder” (“Your Vote, Your Power”), a digital campaign that mobilized thousands of young people to increase electoral participation in the primary elections.
She has represented Honduras abroad as a panelist in conferences such as Peace Connect in Nairobi, Kenya; International Civil Society Week in Bangkok, Thailand; the Nobel Prize Summit in Washington, D.C.; the Summit of the Future at the United Nations Headquarters in New York; and the Americas Peace Summit in Buenos Aires. She is currently Co-President of the Americas Youth Advocacy Team, Americas Representative in the CIVICUS Youth Action Team, and Focal Point of the United Network of Young Peacebuilders (UNOY), where she advocates for the implementation of the Youth, Peace, and Security Agenda in Latin America.
She has contributed to research such as the UNDP Human Development Index in Honduras and “Catalyst for Change: Youth Leadership in Rights, Diversity and Social Cohesion Across the Americas” by UNOY
