After studying Law at Saint Louis University in Brussels and journalism at UCL in Louvain-la-Neuve, she began her career as a journalist in Paris and Milan. She has since published several books, including works on her family history, environmental issues, and women who have received the Nobel Peace Prize. She has also written and presented television documentaries.
She is a journalist, author, and film director actively engaged in environmental protection and human rights, with a particular focus on women’s and Indigenous peoples’ rights. She is President of the King Leopold III Fund for Nature Exploration and Conservation.
She also serves as President of Friendship Belgium, an NGO dedicated to education, health, women’s empowerment, sustainable development, and climate adaptation. In addition, she is President of Honour of Care Belgium and Patron of the Princess Lilian Cardiology Foundation. She is a member of the board of the Virunga Belgium Foundation, an Ambassador of WWF UK and WWF Belgium, and an Ambassador of Stop Ecocide International. She is also a Champion for the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty Initiative.
